At Amity Home Care we are dedicated to delivering professional home care services that are mindful, safe, and honest. We hire our staff based on our clients’ individual needs. Understanding different health needs and/or goals require staff with specialized experience, and we ensure your caregiver and/or support workers have that experience.

Amity Home Care provides care for a variety of clients of all ages. Amity specializes in caring for persons with disabilities, mental illness, dementia care, physical therapy, respite care and clients going through addiction and recovery.

Hourly Home Care


Throughout our lives we have different requirements and goals. As a company Amity understands that care needs are very diverse and as such, we are always evaluating those needs and adjusting our approach. At Amity we tailor your care plan according to your personal needs and wants. Our aim is to give you peace of mind and providing you with outstanding home care assistance.


Persons with Disabilities Care

Amity provides personalized care for PDD clients (persons with disabilities).

Going above and beyond Home Care to actively support individuals in self-promotion and advocating for inclusion and participation in community.

Our caregivers that are dedicated to working with our PDD clients have additional training on a case-by-case basis and or experience working with a client’s disability prior to care. It is important to us as an organization to continue to educate our caregivers and support them in caring for our PDD clients as such we provide additional training and learning resources.

As such, we offer assistance with social goals, friendship development, dating, and community involvement.

The Amity Team

All our clients have a team of two or more caring for them. The team is dependant on your needs and consists of a Care Coordinator and one of following: caregiver, health care aide, mental health worker, childcare worker or personal support worker.

All our employees are:

  • Have a care manager who is there to assist and orient them with each client

There are many differences between public and private home care.
Private home care allows for tailor-made care plans that include a multitude of extras that public health care doesn’t provide. These include meal preparation, transportation, pet care, light housekeeping and more. There is continuity in caregivers and the flexibility to change caregivers if you feel they aren’t a good fit.
Particularly during COVID-19, continuity with caregivers in a private setting allows for a decreased risk of transmission. While caregivers in public health care see a multitude of clients daily, our ratio is significantly lower thus lowering this risk.

Yes. Services are available starting at a few hours per visit up to 24 hours, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Yes. Amity provides additional personalized care to clients living in assisted living environments.

Yes. Our caregivers have vehicles and are able to drive clients to appointments and run errands such as pick up mail, dry cleaning, do groceries, etc.

Yes. Amity will assist with post-surgery care. We work with physiotherapy and make care plans based on discharge orders to properly support our client’s post-surgery.
We do require a minimum timeline commitment of 3 weeks and a non-refundable deposit. This deposit is to cover our administrative, accounting, staffing, scheduling costs and time devoted to setting up a customized care plan.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience working with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities
  • Has own transportation
  • Valid Criminal Record Check
  • CPR (HCP) Certificate
